Description

The Inn on the Green is an early 19th-century house located in Stanford-le-Hope. It is constructed from yellow stock bricks, with parts that are timber framed and weatherboarded. The building has two storeys and features a red plain tile roof that is hipped at the south end. There is a four-window range of double-hung vertical sliding sashes, each with a single vertical glazing bar set within stuccoed reveals. A 19th-century gabled porch with a tiled roof projects from the front of the building, supported by cast iron pillars.
