Description

Coppid Hall is a late 18th-century house located on the north side of High Road, Stifford. The house is constructed of stock brick with a red plain tile roof and parapetted verges. It is two storeys high with attics, and originally had a six-window range of double hung vertical sliding sashes, with segmental heads, and one blank window in the centre. The front features a Tuscan columned doorcase with a pediment and semi-circular fanlight, leading to a six-panel door. Bands run horizontally across the facade, surmounted by a capped parapet. Three flat-topped dormers with double hung vertical sliding sashes are visible in the roof. A plaque is affixed to the building, which reads "This house bath been antiently called Coppied Hall."
