Smithy Cottage is a late 17th century house located on Princess Margaret Road in Linford. It is timber-framed and plastered, with some sections weatherboarded, and features a red pantile hipped roof. The building has two storeys and a two-window range of 19th century casements. It retains an original central chimney stack and has a simple pedimented doorcase.
