Description

Red Lion House is a building dated 1844, located on the south side of Barnack Station Road. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble and features a Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The house has three gables, with the left-hand gable being larger and displaying a datestone that reads "1844". The building is two storeys high and has a range of three windows, which have been replaced with modern casements. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window on the left side. The left-hand (east) end of the house was extended in the later 19th century by one bay, using stone and a Collyweston stone roof. Additionally, there is a modern stone wing at the rear of the property.
