Description
Village Farmhouse is a building that likely dates from the 15th or 16th century, with alterations made in the 16th or 17th century. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble and features a Collyweston stone roof. The house is H-shaped in plan, with gabled wings that have stone coping; the left gable includes an apex stone and kneelers. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 1:3:1 bay configuration. It has one and three-light casements with glazing bars, and an off-centre glazed door. There are two brick ridge stacks positioned over the centre of the house. On the east side, there is a depressed chamfered arch doorway with a small cusped window above it. Inside, the passage features a stone ogee arch, while the east wing has moulded ceiling beams. The central room contains a stopped and chamfered ceiling beam.
