Description
The entrance gate and outbuildings to Wardown Park House were built in 1877 and are designed in an arched classical style. The outbuildings are constructed from Luton grey bricks with terracotta detailing, matching the design of the portecochere. One side of the link block to the main house acts as a curtain wall and features six windows with glazing bars, stone lintels, and cills, all under a parapet that partly conceals a slate roof. This structure extends north of the gateway for a short length of wall before transitioning into the gable end of the outbuilding. The gable end has stepped coping with pyramidal terracotta caps and a single tall round-headed light at the apex. The adjacent outbuilding is made of red and Luton grey bricks, with a clock located towards the right side of its gable end. This building is noted for its group value with the gateway.
