Description
The Red Lion Public House is an 18th-century building located on North Street in Leighton Buzzard. It features a front constructed in local bond with vitrified headers and has an old tiled roof with a red brick cornice. The building is two storeys high and has three flush sash windows with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a two-light window on the left, which is situated under a cambered relieving arch, and a canted bay window on the right that displays chequered red and grey brickwork. The entrance consists of a four-fielded panelled door set within an architrave surround, topped by a coved hood. To the right, there is a taller one-window wing that includes a carriageway and a Welsh slated roof. The Red Lion Public House is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 9 (odd).
