Description
This building comprises numbers 6 and 8 North Street, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of chequered red and grey brickwork with red brick dressings. The front has a wide, modern Neo-Georgian shop front, replacing earlier sash windows and a Doric door surround composed of pilasters and an entablature with a wide cornice. The first floor features three flush sash windows with glazing bars, along with two dummy windows. A 19th-century wing is built in a Jacobean style. The building is included on the heritage register for its group value with numbers 4 to 12 (even) on North Street.
