Description

Holmes Farmhouse is a house located on Church Road, Flitwick, dating back to the 17th century, with a significant refronting in the 18th century. The front elevation is of chequered brick, while the rest of the house is colourwashed render. The roof is tiled. Originally built with a 3-room plan, the house has a 20th-century one-room extension to the right. The ground and first floors each feature four 3-light casement windows, with an additional 2-light casement above the porch on the first floor. All windows are 20th century, with leaded lights. A brick band runs along the first-floor level. A flat-roofed porch, built in the 20th century, is aligned with a red brick double ridge stack. An external red brick stack is present on the left-hand gable. A rear outshot is also present.
