Description
The Gables is a house dating from around 1600, constructed with a timber frame and red brick infill. Some sections of the ground floor are encased in a brick skin, while the rear and one side elevation are covered in colourwashed render. The roof is made of clay tiles. This two-storey building features a two-room plan, an outshot at the rear, and a two-storey gabled porch at the center of the front elevation. On the ground floor, there are two three-light casement windows, and on the first floor, there are two three-light casements along with a two-light casement window in the porch. All windows are fitted with leaded lights, and there is a 20th-century plank door. The porch aligns with a red brick multiple ridge stack.
