Description
The Church of St Mary is a Grade I listed building located in Kensworth, Church End. It is primarily constructed of flint, with a tower made of Totternhoe stone. The chancel and aisleless nave date back to the Norman period and feature high, small windows in the north wall that are contemporary to the original structure. A 12th-century south doorway remains, with the east capital displaying interlaced patterns and the west capital depicting two fables: the wolf and the crane, and the kite and the snake. The east window and all south windows are in the Perpendicular style, as is the west tower.
