Nos 40 and 42 on High Street are 17th-century buildings constructed of whitewashed roughcast and brick. They are two storeys high and feature an old clay tile roof. The projecting gable on the left side shows some exposed timber-framing. There is a central later lean-to and a modern porch. The windows are modern casements with glazing bars.
