Description

No. 297 on Southill Road is a 17th-century cottage constructed with a timber frame and a roughcast exterior, topped by an old clay tile roof. The building features a two-room plan and is one storey with attics. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light casement windows with leaded lights. The attic includes two gabled dormers, each with 2-light casements that have glazing bars. A plank door aligns with a red brick double ridge stack, and there is a circular plaque panel above the door, although no lettering is visible. At the rear, there is a lean-to addition.
