Description
The building is an early 17th century cottage, featuring a datestone from 1603 located at the apex of the west gable. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and has a thatched roof. The cottage has a basic two-room layout with a central double-sided hearth and an old brick stack. Modern casement windows are placed under timber lintels. The structure is two storeys high. There is a 19th-century wing at the front of the east end, which creates an L-plan. This wing is made of limestone and has a slate roof, with 2-light casements that have glazing bars and are set under brick cambered heads. Additionally, there is a single-storey stone outhouse with a pantiled roof located on the west gable end.
