Description

The Hardy memorial is a chest tomb located about 9 yards south-south-west of the Church of St Faith. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features a tall moulded base and a flat capping. The ends are designed with an entablature that includes a plain frieze, husk mouldings down each end, and raised inscription panels. The sides also have raised and shaped inscription panels, each adorned with foliated detail in the corners. This memorial commemorates Robert Hardy, who died in the 17th century.
