Description

This chest tomb, located about 10 yards south of the chancel of the Church of St Faith, dates from the late 17th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. It features a moulded capping with fluted and battered corner posts that are scrolled at the base on each end. The sides of the tomb have inscription panels with raised moulded borders, adorned with an ornate scrolled and foliated relief design that frames the inscriptions. There are inset oval inscription panels at each end, which also have raised moulded borders, although the inscriptions themselves are illegible.
