Description

This is an early 17th century timber-framed building, largely obscured by a whitewashed brick facade, situated on the east side of Court Street in Upton-upon-Severn. It is a two-storey range with a gable end and a plain tile roof, featuring a brick stack on the roof slope. The upper floor has a three-window arrangement with casement windows. The lower floor has mixed fenestration, including a 19th-century four-light shop window. Corner bracing is visible, in the form of tension braces to the corners of the box frame. A through passage exists within the building. Behind the main facade are two gabled, timber-framed wings. The building served as the Parish Poor House from 1763 to 1836.
