Description

Berth House is a house likely dating from around 1700. It is constructed of timber framing and brick, with a steep slate roof. The house originally comprised two bays, with a third bay added later in brick. The timber framing is arranged in three rows of square panels. The windows are 20th-century casements. The third bay has a roof with a shallower pitch and windows with segmental heads. A door is located between the first and second bays. Chimneys are situated on the gables and to the right of the second bay. An exposed truss in the left-hand gable reveals raking struts between the tie-beam and collar.
