Description
The former barn, stable, and shelter shed adjoining Manor Farmhouse dates from the mid-19th century, with the shelter shed specifically dated 1846. It is constructed of Flemish bond red brick and features an old plain tile roof. The three-bay barn has central double plank doors that are flanked by diamond ventilators, with three on the left and five on the right. There is a dentilled brick eaves cornice, and similar ventilators are present in the gable ends. A single-storey range extends from the right and adjoins Manor Farmhouse. The stable is positioned at right angles to the rear left and is built from similar materials, adjoining a four-bay shelter shed that has a hipped roof at the right end. This building complex is a complete example of mid-19th century agricultural architecture and holds a prominent position next to Manor Farmhouse, which was refronted in similar materials in the early 19th century. It is included for its group value.
