Description
Oatenfields Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1840. It is constructed of brick, with some roughcast on the sides and rear. The building features a shallow-pitched two-span slate roof, gable-end parapets with kneelers and ashlar coping, and end stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a dentilled eaves cornice. It consists of four bays, with windows that have wedge lintels and moulded "keyblocks," all of which are 12-pane sashes. The main entrance, located in the second bay, is framed by an open pediment and a pilastered doorcase with panelled reveals and intrados. The door itself has six raised and fielded panels and is topped by a barred segmental fanlight. The farmhouse appears to have been little altered and faces the main north approach into Hunnington.
