Description
These are farm buildings dating from the late 18th century, located to the north of Bushbury Hall in Wolverhampton. They are constructed of brick with cornices and have tile roofs, forming a U-shape around a courtyard that is open to the south. The east range is two storeys high and features a central round-headed entrance, which is now blocked, that is set under an ashlar impost band and projects under a gable. To the left of this entrance, there is a large segmental-headed entrance, segmental-headed stable doors, and casemented pitching holes. The north range is lower on the left side and has a segmental-headed entrance that is blocked, with inserted doors to the right. The rear of this range has a large blocked elliptical-headed entrance and three elliptical-headed openings at the right end. The single-storey west range includes a taller gabled bay with a pitching hole, segmental-headed entrances, and windows. The rear of this range originally had pitching holes in the gables. Inside, the buildings feature queen-post trusses with collars, where the queen posts do not support the purlins or rafters. These buildings are included for their group value.
