Description
Bushbury Hall is a house dating from the 17th century, with a front range added in the late 18th century. It features painted brick with ashlar dressings and a tiled roof, although the front range has 20th-century concrete tiles. The building stands three storeys high and has a five-window front range. The architraved windows on the ground and first floors are topped with wooden consoled pediments over 12-pane sash windows, while the second-floor windows have 20th-century casements. The central entrance includes panelled reveals, a fanlight, and a six-fielded-panel door, framed by a Doric aedicule with an open pediment and a top cornice. The fenestration varies on the returns and rear, with the right return originally having an entrance with steps. At the back, there are two rear two-storey gabled wings. Inside, there are some chamfered beams and a staircase featuring column-on-vase balusters, turned newels, and a ramped handrail. The older part of the house is disused and inaccessible.
