Description

Old Berry Hall is a late 15th century building that has undergone later alterations. It served as the home of the Waring family from 1505 to 1671 and was originally a much larger structure. The ground floor is constructed of red brick with some timber posts, while the first floor features close set timber framework. The building has a gabled roof covered with old tiles and includes large red brick chimneystacks. It stands two storeys high and has lattice casement windows. There are tiled hoods over the first floor gable end windows at the eaves level. The interior is reputed to be fine.
