Description
Manor Farmhouse is an early 17th-century building featuring a timber-framed east wing with brick nogging and a substantial ashlar chimney breast from 1624, which has offsets. The west wing is constructed of red brick and has two gables, topped with old tiled roofs. The windows include flush casement and sash styles with glazing bars, and there is a 19th-century canted sash bay window on the ground floor of the west wing. The entrance has a 19th-century wooden door surround with panelled pilasters and a cornice hood supported by consoles. Inside, there is said to be an altered 17th-century staircase. The garden features a first Wyken Pippin apple tree, which was brought from Holland by Admiral Craven.
