Description

The Church of St Michael, located on New Meeting Street in the City Centre, dates from around 1800 and was originally a dissenting chapel. The building features a classical gable end on the southeast side and is finished in stucco, now with roughcast. It has three bays, with the central bay showcasing coupled Ionic pilasters and a moulded pediment above an entablature. The entrance porch consists of two round-headed arches, and there are round-headed windows on the sides. The northeast side and the interior have been altered and modernised.
