Description

Vesey Cottage is a 16th-century house located on Withyhill Road in High Heath. It is one of the least altered houses built for Bishop Vesey. The cottage is constructed from red sandstone rubble and features an old tiled roof. It has two storeys and includes casement windows. Inside, there is a stone spiral stairway, the remains of a baking oven, and a blocked original fireplace on the first floor. For further details, refer to P B Chatwin and E G Hacourt's book, The Bishop Vesey Houses, published in 1942.
