Description

This barn, approximately 5 metres north-east of Packwood Farmhouse, is likely comprised of two 17th-century barns that were reconstructed in the 18th century into a single range. Constructed of red brick with an old plain-tile roof, the barn is approximately 10 bays long. It features a central cart throughway without a door, a plank double door to the left of centre, and a stable door to the right of centre. 19th-century casement windows are present on the right-hand range, while brick ventilation holes are visible on the left range. A cross wing on the right side has timber framing to its left flank and an irregular arrangement of openings. The interior retains a queen-strut roof, although some of the timber has been replaced. The barn is included on the list for its group value.
