Description
The entrance walls and gates located approximately 600 metres west north west of Wroxall Abbey Hotel were built around 1866 by Walter Scott of Liverpool for James Dugdale. The structure features a stone ashlar plinth and is constructed from brick with stone ashlar bands and stone coping. The gatepiers are made of stone and brick, topped with pyramidal stone finials. Wrought iron gates and railings complement the design. The walls create a curved approach to the gateway, which is flanked by railings.
