Description

This small cottage, formerly a groom's cottage, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with brick parapet gable ends and brick dentil eaves. The building is one storey with an attic, and it has rubbed brick arches above the window openings. A plank door is located on the east elevation, and there is a 19th-century chimney stack at the south end. Inside, you will find a chamfered and stop-ended ceiling beam, as well as a large arched oak lintel over the fireplace.
