Description
The Thatched Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of yellow brick and features a thatched roof with a left-hand ridge end brick stack. The building is single storey with an attic. The central entrance has a 20th-century vertical boarded door. To the left, there is a 19th-century three-light casement window with horizontal bars, set under a segmental arch. The attic includes an eyebrow dormer with a 20th-century two-light casement. Ground floor and attic windows on the sides and rear are similar to the front, also featuring segmental arches. Inside, the ceiling beams and joists have plain stop-chamfered edges. The cottage is noted as a complete example of its type.
