Description
Clanford Hall, formerly known as Clanford Hall Farmhouse, is a notable example of 17th century vernacular architecture, dated 1648. The building is timber framed with a tiled roof and brick stacks, standing two storeys high with an attic. The east side features four storeys, which have been restored in brick and colourwashed. The gables are adorned with wood finials, and there is ornamental timbering at the front along with restored timbering at the rear. The windows consist of casements and wood mullioned designs, fitted with modern leaded lights. The east side has a two-window front, and there is a modern single-storeyed extension on the west. Inside, the hall showcases exposed ceiling beams.
