Description

The Doric Temple at Shugborough Hall, located to the north of the house, was designed by "Athenian" Stuart around 1760. It is nearly identical to a similar structure he created at Hagley. The temple is constructed of stone and plastered brick, featuring a pediment that is supported by six Doric columns. The building has been recently well restored.
