Description

This is an early 19th century range of cottages, originally built symmetrically. Later alterations have been made. The cottages are constructed of plain and engraved stucco, with two storeys. The outer blocks each feature three modern wood casement windows. The windows on the right-hand block retain hood moulds. Sill bands are present at the first storey. Each outer block has two pairs of plain doorways, each set beneath a gabled porch. The central block, with three gables, has five modern windows with hood moulds, and grouped doorways, with each pair contained beneath gabled porches featuring fretted bargeboards; all doors are modern. There are bold, lined eaves, and the roofs are slate-covered.
