Description

This is a small, detached house located on Main Street in Barton-under-Needwood. The house dates primarily to the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It features an earlier timber frame, clad with later early 19th-century engraved cement and covered by a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has two canted bay windows with glazing bars. A gable is present on the right-hand side, decorated with ornamental barge-boards. Other details include bold eaves and a gabled porch. Inside, exposed ceiling beams are visible.
