Description

The outbuilding located immediately north-east of Number 7 is a small stone rubble structure dating from around the 18th century. It is believed to have been a former counting house for a mine. The building is circular in shape and has been heightened or rebuilt at the top with brick, likely in the mid-19th century. It stands two storeys tall and features a corrugated iron roof. Inside, there is a fireplace on each floor, and the ground floor includes a recess in the wall that is said to have been used for a safe. To the south of the outbuilding, there is a brick vaulted entrance leading to an ironstone mine in the hillside.
