Description

Number 29 Charlton is a small 17th century timber-framed cottage featuring white painted infill panels. It has a thatched roof with gabled ends and is one storey high with an attic, comprising a single window range. The cottage includes a four-light casement window and a plank door on the right side, which is sheltered by a modern gabled wooden porch. A large external sandstone chimney stack is located at the right-hand (west) end, with the stone believed to have originated from the ruins of Charlton Castle.
