Description
Leaton Grange is a 17th century timber-framed house with later additions, now completely covered in roughcast. It features a steeply pitched tiled roof with a gabled end and a gabled cross wing at the south-west end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two 19th century gabled dormers. The ground floor includes a sash window with gothic glazing bars. The cross wing features a late 19th century splayed bay with a pentice roof on the ground floor. At the north-east end, there is a modern cross wing that includes a two-storey tower with a jettied gable, possibly serving as a stair tower. A large central ridge stack made of brick has a tablet inscribed with 'L' over 'PM1674', and the three square shafts at the top have been rebuilt. Additionally, there is an early 19th century wing at the rear, which is also roughcast, has a hipped tiled roof, and features sash windows with glazing bars.
