Description
Wrockwardine Farmhouse is an 18th-century red brick house located in Wrockwardine. The chimney stack is dated "1722 RM". It features a blue tile roof with a coped gable end and stands two stories tall with an attic, which includes an attic window in the gable end. The house has a three-window range, with the first floor showcasing original 2-light wood mullion and transom casements, while the ground floor windows are 3-light replacements. A central panelled door is set within a moulded doorcase that has a pedimented hood supported by console brackets. There is a brick string course at floor level and brick end stacks. To the left (south) is a later 18th-century red brick wing that is at right angles to the main house and has a coped gable end facing the road, with modern casements. At the rear, there is an 18th-century gabled wing. Inside, the farmhouse features stopped chamfered ceiling beams and an early 18th-century staircase with a moulded string, handrail, and square newels, extending through all floors. The interior also retains original panelled doors.
