Description

Aston Manor is a manor house with a core dating to the 13th century, clearly visible in the solar wing. The house was extensively refashioned during the 16th century and in later periods. The building is constructed of stone and brick, with tiled roofs and brick stacks. A hall roof is concealed within. Most of the windows are from the 18th century or later.

Inside, a good late 16th-century moulded plaster ceiling is found in one room. The solar wing retains its original doorway, a lancet window in the north gable, part of a large open fireplace with a roll-moulded jamb and arch, and a good arch collar roof with quatrefoil wind braces.
