Description
The Church of St Michael in Aston Botterell is a Grade II* listed building with origins dating back to the 12th century. The chancel and nave are continuous, with the south aisle added in the mid-13th century, featuring a contemporary arcade. The chancel includes a small Norman north window and a 13th-century Priest's Door. The main roof is from the 15th century, while the porch is dated 1639. The west tower was rebuilt in 1884. Inside, there is a late 12th-century font and a 17th-century altar rail. Notable memorials include an incised slab for John Botterell, who died in 1479, and his wife, as well as a large canopied monument for John Botterell, who passed away in 1588, and his wife.
