Description

Priory Cottage is a building dating from the early 19th century, with parts of an earlier timber frame visible inside. It is constructed of stone rubble with ashlar quoins at all corners and stands two storeys high. The cottage features advanced gabled wings on each side, each with a six-light wood mullioned transomed window. There is one window in a small central gable, along with a plain wood doorcase. The building is adorned with ornamental barge-boards, sprocket eaves, and has an old tiled roof. Priory Cottage, along with School House and The Priory, forms a cohesive group of buildings.
