Description

The School House, dated 1829, is a two-storey building constructed of brown brick. It features three sash windows that have moulded segmental lintels and keyblocks. The entrance is marked by a moulded wood pilaster doorcase topped with an open pediment and a segmental fanlight. Above the door, there is a stone tablet engraved with the date and the words "Savings Bank." The side of the building facing Sheinton Street has a plain gable and a two-windowed wing. The School House is part of a group with Priory Cottage and The Priory.
