Description

There is a pair of coffin slabs located immediately to the north of the nave of the Church of Saint Peter. These slabs likely date from the 13th or 14th century and are made of red sandstone. Each slab features an incised cross and border. This pair is one of three groups of coffin slabs found to the north of the Church of Saint Peter. They were discovered incorporated into the foundations of the south wall of the old church, which was replaced by the current church built between 1874 and 1875.
