Description

Heathton House is a late 18th-century farmhouse with a stable range and outbuildings, altered in the late 19th century and 20th century. The main house is built of red brick with a hipped plain tile roof, a single ridge stack, and two rear wall stacks. Dentillated brick eaves run along the top. It has three storeys and a three-window front. A doorway, centrally located, has a wooden, pedimented surround; to the left is a single plate-glass sash window, and to the right are two similar sashes. Above are three similar plate-glass sash windows, and above those again are three small single sashes with glazing bars. The rear of the house features a gabled two-storey wing with a brick chimney stack and two 20th-century casement windows on each floor. A small gabled outbuilding is located to the left, and a lean-to glazed outbuilding to the right. Attached to the north is a single-storey brick stable wing featuring raised coped brick gables and kneelers, with a plain tile roof. The west gable wall has an upper loft opening, and the north front is blank.
