Description
This barn, located approximately 25 meters southeast of Garth Issa, is likely from the late 17th century and was truncated in the mid-20th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame set on an uncoursed limestone rubble plinth, which extends to the right gable end. The top of this gable end, like the left gable end, has been rebuilt using yellow engineering brick, and the roof is covered with slate. There are roughly central stable doors at both the front and rear of the barn. Inside, the framing is visible, consisting of square panels with two extending from the cill to the wall plate. The roof is a single-purlin design spanning three bays, supported by raking struts that connect the tie beams to the principal rafters. This barn is included for its group value.
