Description

Wyken Cottage is a building that likely dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof along with brick stacks. The cottage stands two storeys high with an attic and has a plain gable at the front, which has been restored with brick coping. There are two sash windows and a moulded wood doorcase that includes a cornice hood supported by consoles. Additionally, there is a three-light canted bay window with glazing bars. Wyken Cottage is connected on the right side to Nos 2 and 3 Wyken Cottages. Wyken Gange, Wyken Cottage, and Nos 2 and 3 Wyken Cottages are recognized as a group.
