Description
Ouseley Farmbuildings is a farmbuilding range that likely dates from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The structure is built from rubble stone and brick, topped with a plain-tile roof. It has a T-shaped plan, featuring a cruck-framed barn that projects forward with its gable facing, a late 18th-century barn at the rear, and a cowhouse range that projects to the right. The cruck-framed barn has a brick gable wall with vent holes and additional brickwork to the left. It includes two window openings on the front and two doorways on the right end. Inside, there is a three-bay raised cruck roof supported by curved braces, cranked collars, and double purlins. The barn at the rear consists of five bays with opposing doorways and an additional doorway to the right. The tie beams remain, but the roof has been partly renewed in the 19th century. The cowshed has six bays with various doors and windows, featuring a king-post truss roof, and there is a stone extension at the rear.
