Description
The Crown Inn is a 17th century building that has undergone later alterations. It features a timber frame with limewashed brick nogging and stands two storeys tall with an attic. The building has various wood casement windows and a well-crafted framed gable on the side facing the yard entrance. The first floor and attic overhang, supported by stout carved corner brackets, adds to its character. The gables are adorned with 19th century ornamental bargeboards. The overhang towards the road is partly obscured by a later pentice addition that forms a porch. Additionally, there is an exterior projecting chimney and a massive central brick stack with tiles.
