Description

The Harding Memorial, located approximately 15 metres north of the Church of All Saints, is a pedestal tomb dated 1834. It is constructed from grey sandstone ashlar and features a moulded plinth, panelled pilaster strips with decorative paterae at the top and bottom, a moulded cornice, and a stepped base supporting a large urn finial that has a fluted lower part and rope moulding. Surrounding the tomb is a wrought-iron railed enclosure with spearhead railings and square-section standards topped with urn finials. The memorial commemorates Charles Harding, who died on 28 August 1834, and his wife Elizabeth, who died on 4 August 1835.
