Description
Seven Sisters is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building has a basic L-plan, with a full-height range added to the rear on the left in the early 19th century. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic and has a dentilled eaves cornice. There are five windows in total, with three closely spaced on the right; all are flush-framed horned four-paned sashes with 18th-century segmental heads. The roof includes three hip-roofed eaves dormers. The entrance is located between the second and third windows from the left, featuring a panelled door beneath a wide gabled open brick porch that dates from the late 20th century. A prominent ridge stack has been rebuilt in late 20th-century brick to the left of centre, as has the top of the external end stack on the right. At the rear on the right, there is a tall round-arched window with Gothic tracery in a slightly projecting section. Additionally, there is a single-storey lean-to behind a 19th-century addition in the angle with the main range.
